Elvis' cook, Mary Jenkins Langston, 78

"For breakfast, he'd have homemade biscuits fried in butter, sausage patties, four scrambled eggs and sometimes fried bacon," she said. 'I'd bring the tray up to his room, he'd say, 'This is good, Mary.' He'd have butter running down his arms."

  1. Somewhere, on the Internet, and I don't remember where because I'm often all the Internet, I saw a Recipe for Elvis's Peanut Butter and Banana Sandwich, except that Recipe had Bacon in it. So the First Time I tried Elvis's most Famous Sandwich, mine had Bacon on it. Recently after looking up Mary Jenkins Langston, I found a video with her discussing the sandwich and demonstrating how she made. There wasn't any Bacon included, or even mentioned. I'm happy about that because I haven't found a Brand of Bacon that doesn't contain alot of sodium that I like. This coming Friday Marks Forty-Two Years since the Death of Elvis Presley. I would bet that alot of people are going to make themselves a Fried Peanut Butter and Banana Sandwich, including me. Except I will be using Cooking Spray and definitely No Bacon.
